Just a while ago I sent out a mass email to this site's lifetime VIP members aka Charter VIPs. If you received the email in question, then that means you are a free lifetime VIP member of this site.
In this post, which might be of interest of both VIP members, and non-vips, alike, I'd like to outline one of the newest benefits of being a VIP member of this site: [edited by site adminstrator...see reply to topic] On another note: This site gets a lot of lurkers (several hundred people visited this website today) but very few posts. There is absolutely no reason why Fair Play Reviews couldn't become the biggest, and best, escort review site for the Texas area...and hopefully...expand nationally. To the charter VIPs who have a free lifetime membership here I say this......if you guys were to post more to this website, share reviews, etc...more providers will come here and start posting ads! If the posting activity picks up here the ladies will start coming here. They will go where the business is at, and if you guys were to start posting more reviews and interacting with each other, they are going to notice this and say this might be a good place to advertise. The economy is in a mess right and businesses everywhere are looking for new advertising outlets. But they aren't going to post ads here (and provide the discount to this site's VIP members) if this place is a ghost town. If only we could pick up the activity here, this place could really get going. On another note, members who have the "free lifetime VIP" memberships can decide to sell or transfer their memberships whenever they decide it's time for them to close out their user accounts or retire from the hobby. To my knowledge I'm not aware of any other website in Texas that allows its members to sell or transfer their lifetime VIP accounts to others. I am currently selling the lifetime VIP membership for $200 at the moment(the same membership I gave away for free to 600+ members of this site), but if you want to sell your membership on the board for less, that is fine. But the only way the lifetime VIP memberships are going to be worth any money is if the posting activity picks up on the board. If this site were to sustain a reasonable level of posting activity (steady stream of new reviews and provider ads) on a continuing basis, then there might be some kind of demand for the purchase of a VIP membership. But if the posting levels remain flat, no one is going to purchase any VIP membership that has been put up for sale. In early January 2010 till last week, I gave away about 600 or more free lifetime VIP memberships, but as of this evening free VIP will no longer be offered to new people. The rest of what follows in this post doesn't apply to people who are already VIPs..it only applies to new people who have yet to earn status here: Initial VIP access will no longer be earned through the posting of reviews. Actually, I think that giving away free access for a set period of time (6 weeks or whatever) in exchange for an approved review only encourages people to post fake reviews, but that should be a given (duh). The sites that offer free access in exchange for review are brimming over with fake reports...I'd surmise that most of the reviews posted on those sites are fake, made up by people who don't want to purchase the access. As for this website, I want people to have more trust in the reviews posted here. The most I will do to encourage reviews is this: if you make any review contributions at all to this site... I will give you an extra free month -after- you have purchased VIP access. More details on this coming...I'm still working out how that's all going to work. I will be changing the website guidelines tomorrow evening to reflect the new changes. |

I'd like to address a couple of things about members selling their lifetime VIP memberships, just so there is no confusion:
A lifetime membership can only be transferred/sold once. Once a lifetime VIP membership has been sold or transferred, the new owner cannot sell or transfer that membership. Only the original charter VIPs can sell and/or transfer that access. In addition, if a member decides to sell his lifetime VIP access, that doesn't mean that his account has to be deleted and he can no longer be a member of this board. Not at all. The member can still retain his user account if he wishes...the only thing that selling or transferring his lifetime VIP means is that the account reverts back to a "regular" user account. Offers to sale should go in the Buy & sale zone, of course. One thing to keep in mind about VIP access for people out there who might consider selling theirs to someone else to make some extra money, because of the fact that the posting activity on this board is currently flat, there is very little demand for the purchase of VIP memberships at this time. If only more people were posting, it would be a different story. However, if the posting levels on this site were to go up significantly, maybe in 30 days or so there could be more demand |

I just finished speaking to others on the staff, and after much discussion (there has been some disagreement among us on these issues), it has been decided that one thing I posted should change on earning free bcd status:
The change is: If a new member posts at least two reviews, his account will be upgraded to FREE VIP status. Keep in mind: Reviews that consist of only one or two liners in the comments section will be rejected. That member will receive 30 days free VIP status. To maintain that status for free, the member must make at least two new posts every 30 days. Two new topics. You can post two reviews per month to maintain your status. If you don't have any new reviews to post, you can start two topics on any other subject. Post two news article or start an interesting topic. Post a topic that shows off some pictures. Whatever. As long as you make two new topics every 30 days after your account has been upgraded, you can maintain your vip access for free. If you only post one review(but don't post the required 2 reviews to earn VIP), and then decide to purchase VIP, I will give you an extra month of accessfor free. As for the provider discounts for VIPs.... The following has been decided or I should say re-decided: If a provider wants to offer Fair Play VIP members a discount, either in her ads or on her website, I will give the provider a free banner ad here on Fair Play Reviews. There are several slots available. thanks P.S. Please keep in mind that Fair Play Reviews is a resource that is supported by its users. In order to avoid any conflicts of interest, this website doesn't accept paid advertising from providers. It's supported by hobbyists and prospective clients, for hobbyists and prospective clients. If you'd like to support Fair Play with a donation (to help us meet our hosting expenses, money for new features and upgrades, etc) that address is provided in the "join VIP" forum. |
